Locate and note the server name in ION_Network

You will need to reference the new server name in subsequent tasks.

To find the name of the computer the PME 8.2 server is running on:

1. In Windows Server 2012 or later, right-click the Windows Start button and then select System.

   The computer name is displayed in the System dialog:

   

2. Note the computer name; you will need to reference it later.

To find the old server name that is currently configured in the transferred configuration:

1. Using SQL Server Management Studio, navigate to the ION_Network database.
2. Locate the Machine table.

   For example:

   

3. Note the existing server name. You will need to reference it later.
